The 5th edition of Poster Stellars Intercontinental Poster Competition 2025, organised by Poster Stellars LLC - New Jersey - USA now is opened for entries and this time is theme B L A C K. Theme 2025: B L A C K – The Infinite Paradox

In the vastness of outer space, Black is the ultimate expanse - endless, boundless, and the very definition of the unknown. Yet in design, we are conditioned to battle with white space, to fill the emptiness, and to create within the constraints of light. But what if our understanding of space - both literal and conceptual - has been flawed all along?

If Black, or darkness, is truly the absence of light, does that mean it doesn’t really exist? And if darkness doesn’t exist, then what is the meaning of light or white? Without contrast, white becomes meaningless. In science, in psychology, in design - Black is more than a void. It absorbs, defines, and gives form. It is the infinite stage upon which everything else exists.

As designers, do we find a deeper sense of peace when designing in Black? Does Black unlock a different level of creativity, where form, contrast, and meaning emerge in ways that white cannot contain? This competition invites designers to challenge conventions, embrace the unknown, and redefine the relationship between Black, space, and design itself.

If Black is nothingness, then perhaps it is also everything. Are you ready to create within the infinite paradox? Category A

V Each participant is allowed to submit 3 posters max per entry/fee.

Posters of any technique (painting, drawing, graphic design, typography, data visualization, digital, Illustration, mixed media, photography, and animation) are eligible.

All artworks/posters must have been created between the years 2021 to 2025 time frame. The only parameter is that the Unpublished Posters for Category B must be created during the competition dates and unpublished anywhere online and offline.

CATEGORIES A & B

➜ All entries must be in (1240 x 1653) pixels.
➜ Horizontal and Vertical orientations are accepted.
➜ JPG format, RGB Color Mode, Resolution 150 dpi.
➜ Max file size is 5MB per poster.
➜ All 3 posters should not exceed 15MB.

CATEGORY C

➜ All entries must be in (1920 x 1080) pixels.
➜ Horizontal and Vertical orientations are accepted.
➜ Pixel aspect ratio 16:9
➜ H.264, Frame rate 24-30, Duration 15-20 seconds.
➜ No Audio, MP4 format.
➜ Max file size is 25MB per animated poster.

Image and animation quality is very important. This is the only exposure to your posters the jurors will have, and a poor representation (such as a blurred image, low resolution, or corrupted video) will reduce your chances of being selected.

➜ Who may enter?

The competition is open to all designers, illustrators, photographers, and artists 18 years of age or older anywhere in the world, whose use of Poster Stellars does not and will not violate any applicable law or regulation, or any agreement to which they are a party.
