Royal Society of Biology Photography Competition 2025 : The Royal Society of Biology in the United Kingdom recently has announced its international photography competition inviting only amateur photographers worldwide to submit photographs on a particular theme.

Royal Society of Biology Photography Competition 2025 has been recently announced for entries inviting only amateur photographers worldwide to participate.
The theme of the 2025 Royal Society of Biology Photography Competition is "Restoring Biodiversity and Habitat".
Each entrant can submit up to 3 photographs to the competition.
" This topic could mean so many things and we would love to see your interpretation. [...] Whatever you choose, we want you to showcase animals, plants or fungi within their wider ecosystem - focus on the biodiversity of your chosen habitats whether that is a small space or a wide-open landscape.
➜ Submission requirements:
➜ Entries must be digital images.
➜ Images should be submitted as high resolution JPEG or PNG files no larger than 10MB. Please keep copies of all your original and resized images safe. If you are successful in being shortlisted, organiser will request your original file for further judging and reproduction purposes.
➜ There are no restrictions on the type of camera used but it should be noted that part of the judging criteria will be technical excellence and it is therefore recommended that you use the highest possible quality setting on your camera. The original file should be as large as you can achieve with your equipment.
➜ Digital adjustments are only acceptable if limited to minor cleaning work. Adding or removing elements into/from the image is not allowed.
➜ Black and white images are permitted. Dodging, burning and toning of these are allowed. Scans of prints are not permitted.
➜ To ensure your image can be printed at A2 size for the purposes of exhibition, the longest edges of the image should be a minimum of 2500 pixels, with no interpolation (digital upscaling). Images of smaller dimensions may be excluded at the judges’ discretion.
➜ Photographers are requested to include details of the species in their photographs and the precise location(s) of where their photographs were taken when submitting their entry.
➜ Who may enter?
The competition is open to amateur photographers.
➜ Prize:
The Photographer of the Year (18 and over) winner's prize will be £1,000 and the Young Photographer of the Year (under 18) winner's prize will be £500.
