La Guarimba International Film Festival 2025 : La Guarimba International Film Festival 2025, competition dedicate to short films now is calling for entries on any theme, inviting filmmakers from all parts of the world to participate with they best works.
Short description
La Guarimba International Film Festival 2025 now is calling for entries accepting short film on any theme by filmmakers from all parts of the world.
La Guarimba is a film festival and a cultural organisation situated in the southern Italian region of Calabria with the aim of bringing the cinema back to the people and the people back to the cinema.
La Guarimba International Film Festival 2025 categories are:
➜ Fiction
➜ Animation
➜ Documentary
➜ Experimental films
➜ Music Videos
➜ Children’s Animation
Films produced after 1st January 2023 will be only accepted. Film format is not limited and any filmmaker may enter with more than one entry.
Short films of any nationality and language can participate. All themes are allowed.
The maximum length will be 30 minutes (including credits).
The selection for 2025 will include around 170 films that will be selected to be screened at the festival and will be part of the competition.
The jury will include professionals from the cinema world, television, media, teaching and there will be always be a filmmaker.
The 13th edition of La Guarimba International Film Festival will be held from 7th to 12th August 2025 in Amantea, Calabria, the wildest region of Italy.
Who may enter?
La Guarimba International Film Festival 2025 is open to all filmmakers around the world.
Prize:
The best Fiction, Documentary and Animation films will each be awarded with 800 Euro and a trophy. The best Music Video and Children’s Animation will each be awarded with 300 Euro and a trophy. Trophies will also be awarded in all other competition categories.
Entry fees:
The submission fee starts at 10 Euro and varies depending on the submission category, as well as the submission deadline.
