’Decoriamo Vasi’ Contest by SIMAS: ’Decoriamo Vasi’ is an international contest recently launched by SIMAS and organized in collaboration with ARCHIPELAGO, that invites architects and designers with aims to explore new ideas with eco-friendly solutions and materials, focusing on a design that combines aesthetics and functionality.

"Green and Sustainability" is the theme of the contest launched by SIMAS and organized in collaboration with ARCHIPELAGO, which aims to explore new ideas with eco-friendly solutions and materials, focusing on a design that combines aesthetics and functionality.

Open to all architects and designers, registered with Archipelago, the Contest "Decoriamo Vasi" invites participants to conceive new decorations for washbasins, vases and bidets that reflect the values of environmental sustainability.

This is a theme that is precious for Simas, a manufacturer of ceramic sanitary ware since 1955, which besides design, quality and its being 100% made in Italy, has gone down the road of innovation, technological upgrading of the production process, certifications, with a keen eye on water saving and the circular economy, to offer the market eco-friendly products, increasingly in line with the demands and needs of designers and the end consumer.

In support of the "Decoriamo Vasi" Contest, an event has been organized by Simas and Archipelago, scheduled for Thursday 25 and Friday 26 May at the Simas headquarters in Civita Castellana, which will host the first 50 Archipelago professionals to register. The event, departing from Naples, will include travel, overnight stay, dinner, brunch, a visit to the production plant and a meeting moment in which a series of useful details and insights on the "Decoriamo Vasi" contest will be shared. An opportunity for architects and designers to increase and deepen their knowledge and skills in the field of sanitary ware design ceramics, seeing first-hand the in-house production process, rigorously made in Italy, from casting to glazing, from the firing tunnel of over 100ml to the barcode system, with a route that goes from logistics to distribution.
