DC Shorts International Film Festival 2024: Now in its 21st year, the DC Shorts International Film Festival is accepting submissions for 2024 inviting all filmmakers worldwide to participate with they best independent short films.

Short description

DC Shorts International Film Fest 2024 is celebrating its 21st year! This is the largest short film event on the East Coast of the United States.

DC Shorts International Film Festival and Screenplay Competition is an award-winning, internationally recognized film festival held every September in Washington, D.C. A highly competitive festival, DC Shorts receives 1,300+ submissions from over 100 countries around the globe.

All accepted films will be screened during the festival and a total of seven awards will be announced in different competition categories.

Films from 30 seconds to 40 minutes, completed after 1 January 2023, in all genres and styles, can be submitted. The spotlight is on truly independent short films created around the globe.

The 2024 Festival is scheduled for 4–8 September, 2024.

Who may enter?

The DC Shorts International Film Festival 2024 is open to any independent short films created around the globe.

Prize:

Entry fees:

Entry fee cost $60 during the Regular Deadline period (24 May 2024). After that period ends the amount of entry will increase.
