Short description

The Concrete In Life 2024/25 Photography Competition, organised by the Global Cement and Concrete Association, now is open for entries in its 6th dition. As one of the most widely used human-made products on the planet, concrete is all around us: in our houses and offices; our roads and pavements; in the bridges that connect us; the wind farms that provide us with energy; and the sea barriers that protect us. As the sustainable building material of choice, it provides safe, durable and resilient structures as well as providing the basis for renewable energy infrastructure. Open to photographers of all levels, from professionals to amateurs using smartphone cameras, the competition emphasizes the versatility and importance of concrete in modern infrastructure and urban landscapes. With sustainability at its core, the contest seeks to highlight how concrete contributes to a greener future, making it a crucial material in both urban and rural environments. Whether it’s the sleek lines of an urban skyscraper, the intricate beauty of a concrete sculpture, or the rugged resilience of a rural infrastructure project, Concrete in Life 2024/25 invites participants to capture the essence of this essential material in their own unique way.
