The Felix Schoeller Photo Award 2025 : The Felix Schoeller Photo Award 2025, international photography competition that honours works that clearly illustrate a love of photography and exceptionally stringent demands on picture quality, has been recently opened for entries inviting anyone worldwide to participate.

The Felix Schoeller Photo Award 2025, international photo competition organized every two years, now is callign for entries!

Organized biennially by the Felix Schoeller Group , a renowned manufacturer of specialty papers for high-quality photographic reproductions, the award aims to support and recognize photographers who share their commitment to uncompromisingly excellent imagery.

This competition honors works that clearly illustrate a love of photography and exceptionally stringent demands on picture quality.

As part of the Felix Schoeller Photo Award the different photo contest categories are:

➜ The "Sustainability" category invites professional photographers to submit works that explore the sustainable development of our planet and society, reflecting pressing environmental and social issues.

➜ The "German Peace Prize for Photography," established in collaboration with the City of Peace Osnabrück since 2019, seeks entries that conceptually address the theme of ’peace’ through the medium of photography, encouraging visual narratives that promote harmony and understanding.

➜ The "Emerging Photographer" category is dedicated to up-and-coming young talents, including photography students, trainees, and assistants, providing them with a platform to showcase their innovative perspectives. Emerging photographers (photography or film students) may only submit their photgraphs in the non-themed special category “Best Work by an Emerging Photographer”.

The Felix Schoeller Photo Award not only offers substantial cash prizes but also provides significant exposure opportunities. Shortlisted works will be published in the website gallery, featured in online campaigns, and presented in the high-quality ’Winners and Nominees’ exhibition. Winners and nominees receive invitations to the prestigious awards ceremony, further enhancing their professional recognition.

➜ Who may enter?

This competition is open worldwide to professional and emerging photographers who meet the eligibility criteria. All entrants must be at least 18 years old.

➜ Prize:

Winners in the Sustainability and Emerging Photographer categories will each receive a cash prize of €5,000. The German Peace Prize for Photography offers a €10,000 cash prize. Shortlisted works will be published in the website gallery, featured in online campaigns, included in the ’Winners and Nominees’ exhibition, and recipients will be invited to the awards ceremony.
