Wildlife Artist Of The Year Competition 2022: The Wildlife Artist Of The Year 2022, organized by David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) has been recently opened for entries and like every year welcomes entries from around the world in all artistic media.

Wildlife Artist Of The Year 2022, an internationally renowned competition for artist now is calling for entries!
DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year has become one of the most noteworthy events in the art calendar, often being referred to as the ‘Oscars of international wildlife art.’ Each year, the competition welcomes entries from hundreds of talented artists worldwide, in a celebration of outstanding wildlife art.
DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year, in association with BBC Wildlife, is an internationally renowned wildlife art competition and exhibition, which each year attracts entries from some of the most talented artists around the globe, who come together to celebrate the beauty of the natural world. Since its inception in 2008, Wildlife Artist of the Year has attracted more than 13,300 entries raising more than £1.2 million for our ground-based conservation partners across Africa and Asia.
There are seven categories:
➜ Animal Behaviour
➜ Earth’s Wild Beauty
➜ Facing Extinction
➜ Human Impact (for artists between 16 and 22 years of age)
➜ Into the Blue
➜ Urban Wildlife
➜ Wings
Mediums can include oil, acrylic, watercolour, pencil, mixed media, bronze, plaster, wire, collage with styles encompassing traditional, abstract, monochrome and many others – the choice is yours. Photography or digital artworks are not accepted in this competition.
➜ Who may enter?
Wildlife Artist Of The Year 2022 is open worldwide to both amateur and professional artists alike aged 17 years or over.
➜ Prize:
The first prize winner will receive 5,000 GBP personal cash prize and 5,000 GBP conservation voucher (donated to a DSWF project of the winner’s choice). The second prize winner will receive 1,000 GBP personal cash prize and a 1,000 GBP conservation voucher. The 7 category winners receive 500 GBP each.
➜ Entry fees:
Entry fee is £25 per an artwork for the first two entries, thereafter it is £15 per entry. Human Impact entrants pay £15 per entry.
