The Lumen Prize for Art and Technology 2022: The Lumen Prize for Art and Technology 2022, international annual juried competition now in its 11th year is calling for entries and like every year celebrates the very best art created digitally by artists around the world.
Short description
The Lumen Prize for Art and Technology, every year organized by Lumen Art Projects, is calling all artists engaging with technology to submit their best work for 2022.
This prize celebrates the very best art created with technology through a global competition, exhibitions.
All art is eligible as long as it engages with technology in some form. You do not need to be a digital artist or be able to design software to enter.
There is no limit on the age of a submitted work.
The judging of the Lumen Prize will be done in two stages. The longlist is determined by the International Selectors Committee of curators, artists and academics. This longlist is then reviewed by the Jury Panel, who select the Shortlist and Award Winners.
Up to 70 artists are longlisted annually and are automatically included in the Lumen Artist Community.
Submission requirements:
➜ You are required to submit a primary image or video that best represents your work. You are able to upload three supporting images. Videos should be hosted on Youtube or Vimeo.
Winners will be announced at the Barbican Centre London on 19th October 2022.
Who may enter?
The Lumen Prize for Art and Technology is open to artists from around the world.
Prize:
There wil be 9 award categories this year, with a prize fund of $13,500. Shortlisted artists are eligible for the Lumen Gold Award with a $4,000 cash prize and there is a free-to-enter Student Award with a cash prize of $500.
Entry fees:
Entry fee is $30 for two works during the Early Bird (3rd March - 24th March 2022) period.After that period ends the amount of the fee will increase. The Student Award is free to enter and a total of 100 entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
