The Football Art Prize now is over!

The Football Art Prize: To coincide with 2022 World cup year Touchstones Rochdale have created The Football Art Prize to celebrate art and football and invites all artists over the age of 18 working in all two dimensional mediums including photography and moving image to participate.

➜ Short description

The Football Art Prize is a new open call opportunity for artists.

To coincide with 2022 World cup year Touchstones Rochdale, with generous support from Arts Council England, have created The Football Art Prize to celebrate art and football.

Artists over the age of 18 working in all two dimensional mediums only, including painting, drawing, digital art, collage, mixed media, textile, photography and moving image will be eligible. All works must be an original creation by the artist.

Artists may register to enter up to four (4) works.

➜ Submission requirements:

The submission process is two stage. At first stage the selection process will be digital. You must upload a digital image of any work you would like to be considered. If your work is longlisted there will be a physical hand-in of works for selection.

You will be informed of the selection panel’s decision by email in the week commencing the 22 November 2021.

➜ Who may enter?

The Football Art Prize is open to to all artists worldwide over the age of 18.

➜ Prize:

➜ First Prize: 5,000 GBP (approx. 6,860 USD)
➜ Second Prize: 3,000 GBP
➜ Third Prize 2,000 GBP

The show gives artists the opportunity to showcase their work in a regional touring exhibition opening at Touchstones Rochdale in March 2022 and touring to Sheffield and Sunderland.
Alongside the exhibition there will be a virtual gallery showcasing all the artists’ shortlisted works. All exhibiting artists will be included in a fully illustrated print catalogue. Awards will be given out to the winners in a prize giving at the start of the exhibition.

➜ Entry fees:

Artists may submit up to four (4) works at 10 GBP (approx. 13 USD) for the first entry and 5 GBP for each additional entry.
