Oceans Design Competition 2022 now is over!

Oceans Design Competition 2022: Oceans Design Competition 2022 has been recently opened for entries, hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and Korea Association Marine Industry, is amied to design the poster to be promoted for the 16th edition of World Ocean Forum, featuring an innovative start and the meaning of the WOF 2022 main theme.

Oceans Design Competition 2022 now is calling for entries!

Organized by Busan Metropolitan City and Korea Association Marine Industry, Oceans Design Competition is an innovation challenging competition presented to anyone who is passionate about oceans.

The mission of Oceans Design Competition is to inspire the growth and promotion of ocean industries heading to the Post-Pandemic.

There are three categories:

➜ Graphic Design Poster: Design the poster to be promoted for the 16th edition of World Ocean Forum, featuring an innovative start and the meaning of the WOF 2022 main theme 'Ocean as Uniters', Pursuing Global Cooperation for the good of the planet.

➜ Character Sticker Pack: This competition includes a Character Sticker Pack design that can represent World Ocean Forum and the finalist’s work will be exploited to promotion materials such as event goods and brochures.

➜ Calligraphy: This competition includes a Calligraphy design that can represent World Ocean Forum and the finalist’s work will be exploited to the exhibition for the forum.

For Graphic Design Poster and Character Sticker Pack categories, all of applicants are only allowed to apply for one category of one competitions. In the case of Calligraphy category, all of applicants are allowed to submit up to three art works.

Who may enter?

Anyone who is passionate about the oceans can apply for the competitions and only individual applicant is accepted.

Prize:

The Grand Prize winner in Graphic Poster Design category will receive USD 2,400 with a certificate of award, in Character Sticker pack category will receive USD 1,200 and in a Calligraphy category will receive USD 1,200. In each categroy there will be also awarded Excellence Prize (1 person), Encouragement Prize (2 person), Nominated Works (multiple people).

Furthermore, the Grand Prize Winners poster of each category will be also:

➜ Graphic Poster Design category: Used for the main poster of the 16th World Ocean Forum Official Poster
➜ Character Sticker pack category: Used for design sources of the 16th World Ocean Forum official promotion product and goods
➜ Calligraphy category: Displayed at the 16th World Ocean Forum venue (Excellence & Encouragement Prize Design Works and Nominated Ones)
