Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition 2025 - North American Еdition: Edi.Cer. S.p.A. is proud to launch the North American Еdition of its Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition 2025, a contest that aims to honour outstanding projects carried out using Italian ceramic tiles covered by the Ceramics of Italy trademark.
➜ Short description
The Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition is accepting submissions for its 2025 North American edition.
The Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition awards the top North American and European architects in alternating years that showcase inventive uses of Italian ceramic and porcelain tile from member brands.
The 2025 competition is now open to North American architects (U.S., Canada, Mexico) with projects built worldwide between January 1, 2020 - September 30, 2024.
The 2025 North American edition competition categories include:
➜ Residential
➜ Non-residential
➜ Urban design
➜ Design and new applications
➜ Students
The international Jury, consisting of renowned architecture and design professionals, will evaluate the submitted projects based on their creativity, functionality and aesthetic appeal.
The selection criteria will cover:
➜ the overall design of the architectural project;
➜ the use of Italian Ceramic Tiles in the project;
➜ attention to the environment through the use of Italian Ceramic Tiles;
➜ the sustainability of the architectural work and of the products used.
One winner will be chosen for each of the following categories: “Residential”, “Non-Residential”, “Urban design”, “Design and new applications” and “Students”.
The award ceremony for the 2025 North American edition will be held during Coverings (April 29–May 2, 2025 in Orlando, FL).
➜ Who may enter?
The competition is open to all design professionals (architects, engineers, interior designers, surveyors, etc.) resident in the North America (USA, Canada, Mexico) who have carried out projects worldwide using Italian ceramic tiles produced and marketed by companies licensed to use the Ceramics of Italy trademark under their own brand names (hereinafter also referred to as “Italian Ceramic Tiles”), completed between 1 January 2020 and 30 September 2024.
➜ Prize:
Built category winners will receive a CEU-accredited trip to Bologna, Italy to attend Cersaie 2025 + cash prizes up to $5,000. All winners will win a trip to Coverings 2025 in Orlando, FL for a dedicated awards ceremony along with the opportunity to present their projects in front of an esteemed group of architecture and design press.
