OSTEN Biennial of Drawing Skopje 2022 now is over!

OSTEN Biennial of Drawing Skopje 2022: Biennial of Drawing 2022, international competition organized by OSTEN Skopje, has been recently opened for applications dedicated of creating and preserving the art on paper, creative and modern interpretations of the drawing with full artistic freedom, invites all artists from around the world to participate.

➜ Short description

OSTEN Biennial of Drawing Skopje 2022 competition organized by OSTEN Skopje, North Macedonia has been recently opened for entries inviting all artists from around the world to participate with their most innovative and creative works, regardless of form, technique or medium.

The Biennial of Drawing nurtures contemporary drawing in its widest definition is open to everything that is new and much more comprehensive than the traditional, giving preference to works that break old and worn-out art matrices, works that have a specific authorial mark or suggest an attempt to go beyond the established academic rules, in the free space of creation, but include linearity as the dominant means of expression. The Biennial opens the possibility of moving the conventional boundaries, both in terms of the use of drawing techniques and materials, as well as in terms of creative freedom of expression. Artists can individually decide upon the size, theme and media or technique of the submitted works.

The official opening of the OSTEN Biennial of Drawing Skopje 2022 and the announcement of the awards will take place on 1st September 2022 in the city of Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia.

➜ Submission requirements:

➜ Apply with up to five (5) artworks created between 2019-2022.

➜ submit digita images of the artworks (an entire image of the works is mandatory + details optionally) in .jpg .png or .tiff format (300dpi), maximum 2MB.

➜ Who may enter?

Participation is open to artists (18+) as individuals or groups (up to 5 artists).

➜ Prize:

Multiple awards by the Assembly of Ambassadors of OSTEN, the International Jury, the OSTEN Board and WAVA (World Association of Visual Arts) awards will be endowed in September 2022.

➜ Entry fees:

The participation fee is 50 Euro for individual and 90 Euro for group entries.
