The annual Movin’On Challenge Design Competition, now in its 23rd edition, aims to celebrate, promote, publicize and give visibility to original creative thinking and innovation in mobility design.
Created by Michelin in 2001 to encourage and recognize creative design around the world, Movin’On Challenge Design 2023 is a prestigious global competition reflecting the importance of innovative design in the future of mobility.
Movin’On Challenge Design has become widely recognized as one of the world’s premier global mobility design competitions, and it is now a key component of the annual Movin’On Global Sustainable Mobility Summit and reinforces the significance of design in mobility transformation.
This year’s theme is 'Balancing Sustainability'.
The challenge for this new edition of the Movin'On Challenge Design 2023’s mission is to design an innovative mobility solution that balances these three recognized sustainability pillars - People, Profit and Planet.
Applications must present a genuine model of safe and efficient mobility that meets users' expectations and is part of a viable economic model for moving people and respecting the environment.
Entries are judged by a prestigious international jury, including heads of advanced design for major mobility organizations. Winners will be recognized during the 2023 Movin’On Summit in June..

Artists, designers, engineers, architects, city planners and creatives worldwide are invited to enter either in teams or individually.
➜ Prize:
In addition to being featured on the Movin’On Challenge Design site, the three winning entries and the recipients of Judges’ Awards are announced in a global communications release and are also recognized during the 2023 Movin’On Summit in June. The winners are also invited to participate in a review of their design portfolios by members of the jury and leading international designers.
