Foundwork Artist Prize 2020: The Foundwork Artist Prize, an annual award to recognize outstanding practice by contemporary artists, has been recently opened for entries, inviting artists working in any media to participate.
Short description
Foundwork Artist Prize 2020, now is calling for entries! The Foundwork Artist Prize, sponsored by Foundwork, Inc., is an annual award to recognize outstanding practice by contemporary artists.
Foundwork is a venue for artists to introduce their work to people across the global contemporary art community. Our purpose is to enable greater access between artists, curators, and collaborators wherever they are based. The project was inspired by founder Adam Yokell’s experience running a gallery in Brooklyn where he worked mainly with emerging artists.
Artists working in any media are eligible.
To be considered, artists will need to create a profile on Foundwork, with at least 5 published artworks.
The jury for the 2020 Foundwork Artist Prize includes progressive international curators, gallerists, and artists.
Foundwork has a $4/month membership for artists (free for students). Artists should see the FAQ and Official Rules on Foundwork for instructions and terms. The Prize is sponsored by Foundwork, Inc. and you can send any questions to support@foundwork.art.
Who may enter?
Artists working in any media are eligible.
Prize:
The 2020 honoree will receive an unrestricted $10,000 grant and studio visits with each of the distinguished jurors. The honoree and three short-listed artists will also be featured in interviews as part of the Foundwork Dialogues program.
