Car Render Challenge 2024 for 3D Artists : The 11th annual 3DModels team competition for the best Car render, the largest awards event for the car 3d modeling and visualization industry has been recenty opened for entries inviting all 3d artist to participate.

Short description

The 11th annual 3DModels team competition for the best Car render is the largest awards event for the car 3d modeling and visualization industry.

3D artist worldwide are invited to create a 3D car model, place it in a 3D environment, and produce a compelling render. You have the freedom to choose any type of vehicle, from existing models to imaginative concepts.

Create a 3D model of a car, add 3D environment and textures (you can create more than one car in the scene). Then create a beautiful 3D rendering of it (or them). Think creatively. Organiser also accept pickups, vans and small trucks. Military tanks/fighting vehicles, large trucks (semi-trucks), buses, motorcycles as "main character" are not accepted.

The work must be made for the challenge and not have been previously published anywhere (no existing projects, stock/free car models).

You can submit only one work: one final render and one clay/wire render of the scene.

Judging criteria include visual appeal, concept originality, presentation, technical complexity of both the model and scene, and overall execution quality. Organisers're looking for entries that convey a narrative and engage the viewer.

Submission requirements:

➜ Your entry must be a 3D rendered image. Environment should be made in 3D; it's permited the use of HDRi for sky and some small parts of landscape. No texture/polycount limit.

➜ Your scene can contain any number of vehicles, characters, buildings, be outdoor or indoor on your choice.

➜ Renders with a single color background (black, white, etc.), test renders, unfinished, pixelated and low quality renders, screenshots and models placed on wallpaper or photos will not be accepted.

➜ Using of third-party assets such as vegetation, street elements is allowed. Car models should be made by you in 3D modeling software.

➜ Enhancing your render in post is allowed - this includes things like color adjustments, compositing render layers/passes, and adding effects like smoke, fire, particles, etc. Adding photographic elements (such as cut-out characters or vegetation) or doing paintovers or photobashing is not allowed.

➜ Please include a short story about your work and a description of the image (it will be published in the gallery).

➜ The render should be at least 1500 pixels wide if the work is horizontal.

➜ Render size should not exceed 5MB and should be in .JPG format.
