47th International Humor Exhibition of Piracicaba 2020: The 47th lnternational Humor Exhibition of Piracicaba 2020, one of the largest event in the world in its genre, is calling for entires accepting submissions from professional and amateur artists worldwide.

➜ Short description

The 47th lnternational Humor Exhibition of Piracicaba 2020, realized by the Piracicaba City Hall/Cultural Action and Tourism Secretariat/National Graphic Humor Center of Piracicaba, is calling for entries!

The Piracicaba International Humor Exhibition is a graphic humor festival held annually since 1974 in Piracicaba, São Paulo, Brazil. The event is considered one of the largest in the world in its genre, making Piracicaba known as the ’World Capital of Humor’, brings together the official show of works in cartoon, cartoon, caricature and strips, and parallel shows, with exhibitions in various cultural spaces in the city. The competition is divided into four categories:

❶ Cartoon (graphic humor with universal and timeless themes),
❷ Charge (graphic humor with journalistic themes of now a days),
❸ Caricature (graphic humor that expresses the physical and/or personality of a known celebrity),
❹ Comic Strips/Comic Stories (graphic art in sequence).

Submission guidelines:

➜ The theme and technique are free.
➜ The works can be sent by mail or trought official website in the format 300 DPI, JPEG, attached Images at once)
➜ You need to send unpublished and authorship artworks that were not awarded until the closing date for entries.
➜ Digital works must contain the signature of the author.
➜ Humorous sculptures should come with the author’s data.
➜ Maximum measures allowed: paper - 42 x 30 centimeters (A3) (16,54 x 11,81 inches), sculptures - 42 x 30 x 30 centimeters or 16,54 inches (height) x 11,81 inches (depth) x 11,8 1inches (width).
➜ Each artist may enter a maximum of 3 works per category( NOTE! for Comic Stories will be accepted a maximum of 2 pages per work.

The 47th lnternational Humor Exhibition of Piracicaba 2020 will be held from August 29 until November 01, 2020. There is no entry fee to participate!
