Mountain, nature, wildlife, mountaineering, climbing, landscape, underwater world, biodiversity, flora, extreme and adventure sports, etc. will be the reference of the edition in this contest one more year, not only in the photography categories but in the section dedicated to videos, films and documentaries as well. In addition, on this ocassion, a thematic category dedicated exclusively to portrait photography is also being convened.

In addition to the main competition, the Memorial Maria Luisa also offers special awards to recognize outstanding contributions in specific categories. The overall winner is awarded a grand prize of €4,000, along with a trophy and a diploma. Category winners receive €300 each, and additional prizes include a Samsung tablet for the best young photographer, a Citizen Watch for the best portrait photo, and a €3,000 voucher for the best video or documentary. Entry fee is €22 for adult photographers, with one free photo submission included. Participation is free for photographers under 19.
