Artists nationwide are invited to apply for the Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art that will be held September 27-28, 2025 along the Ohio River in downtown Madison, Indiana.
At the end of September each year, Madison’s National Landmark Historic District welcomes thousands of visitors during the two-day Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art. Come and experience Southern Indiana’s premier outdoor juried arts & crafts festival featuring approximately 175 exhibitors. This festival is free to the public and designed for the whole family to enjoy, although pets do need to remain home.
In addition to the fine artists and craftsmen showcasing their handmade work, the festival features continuous live entertainment, a riverfront food fest, kid’s activities, and an entertainment garden with local craft beer and wine available.
This juried festival showcases high-quality original art from the following eligible categories: painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, weaving, folk art, jewelry, fiber, wood, baskets, clay, glass, paper, printmaking, mixed media, and leather. Consideration of a media not listed may be given upon request.
Only work of the quality and type illustrated in submitted digital prints may be exhibited. All work must be handmade and individually designed by the artist.
You can submit up to 2 applications for this show.
There will be an early jury review the first week in March. Apply by March 1st to be a part of the early jury. Some artists may be placed on a waitlist until the final jury. The final jury will be the first week in July.
Best in Show, Best Presentation, 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Fine Craft, 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Fine Art, 2 Honorable Mentions will be assigned.
