Moscow International Foto Awards: Moscow International Foto Awards has been recently opened for entries with the mission to recognize, reward and expose talented photographers from around the world and introduce them to the creative community in Russia.

MIFA 2022 Edition is now open for submission!

The mission of MIFA Photography Award is to recognize, reward and expose talented photographers from around the world and introduce them to the creative community in Russia.

The Moscow International Foto Awards accepts submissions in the following categories:

➜ Advertising: This category is for commercial images used to sell, market, promote or advertise a product, service, or person(s).
➜ Architecture: This category is for architectural photography, buildings or structures, interior or exterior, and any part thereof; dynamic images of architecture or architectural details.
➜ Book: Bodies of work published in book form, including exhibition catalogues, prototypes, proposals, independently published, self-published, traditional, limited edition, multi-author, single-author, intersectional, zine, handmade, re-issue, and more. Cover image plus 6 pages.
➜ Editorial: This category is for images usually meant to accompany text, illustrate a story, article, or an idea within the context of a publication, and can cover a wide range of subjects.
➜ Events
➜ Fine Art: this category should feature images where the intention is aesthetic, revealing the subjective, creative vision of the artist, photos that express an idea, a message, or an emotion through the image and the technique used to create it.
➜ Nature: This category is for photography that is devoted to displaying natural elements such as landscapes, wildlife, plants, and close-ups of natural scenes and textures.
➜ People: This category is for photographs where people are the focus, whether a single person or a group, showing the human aspect of life in all its wonderful variet.
➜ Science
➜ Portfolio: You may enter up to 20 images that represents your entire work or only a series in Advertising, Fine Arts, Wedding, Personal Work. The images should represent the best of your work, without any year limitations.

Submission requirements:

➜ Digital submissions must be saved as jpg, and minimum 1000 pixels in either height or width. Please remember also to keep your files in RGB format, no larger than 4MB per image.

➜ You may enter the same photograph into as many categories as you see fit. You can also submit as many entries, in as many categories, as you like. All photographs should be no older than 5 years.

Who may enter?

The MIFA competition is open to anyone aged 18+ residing anywhere in the world. Professional entries will be judged against other professionals; emerging and student entries against other students / emerging.

Prize:

MIFA Photographer of the Year
$3,000 cash prize and MIFA trophy

New Talent of the Year
$2,000 cash prize and MIFA trophy

First Place Category Winners
$100 cash prize each, Advertising, Architecture, Book, Editorial, Fine Art, Nature, People, Professional and emerging/student. (Paypal or Amazon gift card) *One cash prize per entry only.

Entry fees:

Professional:
➜ $20 per single image
➜ $30 per series ( 2-8 images with same theme)
30% off per additional category, if same entry is submitted to multiple categories

Emerging / Non-professional:
$15 per single image
$20 per series (2-8 images with same theme)
30% off per additional category, if same entry is submitted to multiple categories

Students:
$10 per single image
$15 per series (2-8 images with same theme)
30% off per additional category, if same entry is submitted to multiple categories

Portfolio category: Entry fee for the Portfolio Category is $50
