Lahti International Poster Triennial 2025: The Lahti International Poster Triennial 2025, organised by Lahti Museum of Visual Arts Malva, Grafia, Association of Visual Communication Designers in Finland and The Finnish Friends of Posters Guild, this year celebrates its 50th anniversary and invites poster designers from around the world to participate.

Short description

The Lahti International Poster Triennial 2025, organised by Lahti Museum of Visual Arts Malva, Grafia, Association of Visual Communication Designers in Finland and The Finnish Friends of Posters Guild, this year celebrates its 50th anniversary!

Continuing a tradition that began in 1975, this graphic design competition and exhibition will now be held for the 22nd time in Lahti. To honour the triennial’s 50th jubilee, the theme of the special anniversary category will be ‘freedom of expression’. Although this inherent human right is protected in many countries, free speech still remains under threat in many parts of the world.

There are three categories:

Cultural, social and ideological posters
Environmental posters
Freedom of expression

You may submit up to four (4) posters in digital format.

The competition committee will select the posters for the exhibition from among the submitted digital image files in January 2025. A list of posters selected for the exhibition will be published on this website early in February 2025. The winners will be announced and the prizes will be presented at the opening of the exhibition. All participants who submit posters are cordially invited to attend the opening on June 5, 2025.

Submission requirements:

➜ Long side of the image file 30 cm / 3508 px
