FIBA Photo Contest 2024 now is over!

FIBA Photo Contest 2024: To fulfill its cultural and sporting ambition, the FIBA Foundation, whose role is to preserve and promote FIBA values and its cultural heritage, has decided to organize the new edition of the FIBA photo contest inviting everyone regardless of age, nationality and country of residence to participate.

FIBA Photo Contest 2024, international photography competition organized by FIBA Foundation invites everyone regardless of age, nationality and country of residence to participate with the best shots.

This year, photographers and basketball lovers may submit their photos that best illustrate the theme EMOTIONS. Capture and share the emotions that basketball inspires in you. The adrenaline of a game day, the tension of a last-second play, the euphoria of a win, the disappointment of a loss or the passion of the fans.
The joy of bouncing a ball for the first time, the pride of a parent, the effort in training, the frustration after an injury or the intensity of a referee making a split-second decision.
That inner calm that you look for when you are exhausted, down or need to think; and you only find on the court shooting alone.
If your heart beats to the rhythm of basketball, tell us what you feel. Photos taken during FIBA Events, or a work product of a FIBA or FIBA Foundation designation or assignment will not be considered for the contest.

The Contest will be a unique opportunity for all keen photographers and basketball lovers to show their talents.

You can upload a maximum of three photos connected with the theme.

The winners will be announced in February 2025.

Mandatory elements for the pictures:

➜ Format: JPEG/JPG format.
➜ Minimum size: 4MB.
➜ Maximum size: 20MB.
➜ Minimum number of pixels: 5 million.
➜ Description (title, author, country of origin and a small caption).
➜ No text or description on the photo.

Drawings, illustrations, computer-made or assisted pictures are not permitted. The only alterations permitted is the modification of certain parameters (Saturation, contrast, sharpness, temperature of colours, balance of whites and colours) as well as eliminating noise.

The contest is open to everyone regardless of age, nationality and country of residence.

➜ 1st Prize: Photographic equipment worth 2.500 CHF + travel & accommodation to be the Official Photographer of FIBA Open 2025, biggest grassroots 3x3 tournament organized in Switzerland
➜ 2nd Prize: Photographic equipment worth 1.500 CHF
➜ 3rd Prize: Photographic equipment worth 1.000 CHF
