artCentral's 2025 National Exhibition 'Spirit of Spring' is now open for entries!

artCentral's 2025 National Exhibition 'Spirit of Spring' : artCentral seeks entries for a juried exhibition 'Spirit of Spring' that will be held from March 28 - May 10, 2025 at the Hyde House in Carthage, Missouri inviting artist worldwide to participate with they best works.

Short description

artCentral seeks entries for a juried exhibition that will be held from March 28 - May 10, 2025 at the Hyde House in Carthage, Missouri.

Original works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pastels, pencils, charcoal, pen and ink, scratchboard, printmaking, mixed media, or a mixture of any of the above media are acceptable.

Works previously exhibited at artCentral are not eligible. Works must be matted, framed, and wired for hanging; no clip frames. Please use discretion regarding subject matter (no nudes).

The dominant theme must be flowering plants (with or without people or animals) in the landscape/cityscape/seascape or portrait. Full-frame paintings of single blooming flowers, or “mugshots,” are boring.

Your work will be selected based on the quality of your image.

Submission requirements:

➜ Each artist may submit up to 5 images completed within the last two years. Please DO NOT resubmit works from previous years. Each piece MUST be your original work in concept and execution. No AI images or photography. Maximum size of the outside need to be 40" x 40".

Image Formatting Instructions:

1. Crop out all matting

2. Correctly orient the image as viewed - portrait or landscape

3. Must be a jpeg

4. Max file size is 10 MB

➜ All works should be ready for wall hanging with appropriate strength wire and hardware. Sawtooth hangers will not be allowed.

➜ All works must be matted and/or framed in a manner appropriate to the work.

Plexiglass or glass may be used. If glass, please limit to smaller works - weight being a concern. Gallery-wrapped canvases are acceptable, but edges MUST be painted or covered - no raw canvas.

➜ If the artist choose, works in this exhibition can be for sale.

This competition is opene to artist worldwide.

Prize:

$2600 in a cash prize will be awarded.

Entry fees:

Entry fee is $35 for 5 entries.
