Save Lapinlahti Poster Competition: The Lapinlahti Center for Art, Culture and Mental Well-Being in Helsinki is urgently calling all creative people worldwide to design political posters to defend the heritage of Lapinlahti and its community from the threat of an international real estate developer.

The Lapinlahti Center for Art, Culture and Mental Well-Being in Helsinki is urgently calling all creative people worldwide to design political posters to defend the heritage of Lapinlahti and its community from the threat of an international real estate developer.

By participating in this poster competition, you will support the preservation of Finnish cultural heritage under Finnish ownership and the protection of vibrant urban culture.

The themes of the competition are:

➜ Presenting the unique cultural history of the Lapinlahti psychiatric hospital.
➜ Defending the organically formed centre of art, culture, and mental well-being.
➜ The threat caused by an international real estate developer to a Finnish heritage site.

You may use one or more of the themes mentioned above in your poster.

Your entry should be size A4, PDF or PNG file, 72 DPI resolution, RGB colour. Should your submission be selected for the exhibition, you’ll need to send a print-quality version of it.

➜ Who may enter?

Save Lapinlahti Poster Competition is open worldwide to anyone over the age of 18.

➜ Prize:

The winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of 800 EUR. The second place winner will receive 500 EUR, and the third place winner will receive 300 EUR. In addition, the organisers of the competition will exhibit some of the contestants' works in the Lapinlahti park in Helsinki in July.
